Community Assists for Young Women Empowered
We're proud to work with the Seattle Storm to support Young Women Empowered (Y-WE). During the Seattle Storm season, for every 50 assists, the Storm and BECU will make a $1,000 contribution to Y-WE.
Y-WE supports mentorship-based empowerment programs serving diverse young women and adult women mentors in the greater Seattle area.
At each home game, we'll spotlight up to four inspiring young fans who will serve as “BECU Honorary Captains.”
- During the pregame, the children who are selected as “BECU Honorary Captains” will meet with the Seattle Storm's captain and the away team's captain where they'll receive an autographed mini basketball.
- The honorary captains will have an opportunity to have their picture taken at center court in front of the Storm crowd.
- Follow BECU on social media for opportunities to have a child selected as a BECU Honorary Captain.
